Before Care

Thank you for trusting me with your permanent eyeliner treatment. Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing and long-term pigment retention. Please follow these instructions carefully.

💧 FIRST 24 HOURS
Mild swelling, redness, and tenderness around the eyes is normal and typically subsides within 24–48 hours.

  • Use a cold compress (wrapped in a soft, clean cloth) for 5–10 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.
  • Do not apply ice directly to the skin.
  • Do not touch, rub, or scratch your eyes.
  • Avoid getting direct water on the treated area when washing your face.

🧼 DAYS 1–7: GENTLE CARE & HEALING
Gently cleanse your eyes once daily using a damp cotton pad and a fragrance-free cleanser. Avoid excessive moisture.

Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment (Aquaphor or artist-recommended) 1–2 times daily with a clean cotton swab.
Use sparingly—do not over-apply.

  • Avoid eye makeup (eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow) for at least 7–10 days.
  • Do not wear contact lenses for 48–72 hours. Use glasses instead.
  • Do not rub, pick, or scratch any scabs or flakes—let them heal naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring.
  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated and avoid sleeping face-down to minimize puffiness and pressure on the eyes.

🚫 AVOID FOR 7–10 DAYS
  • Heavy sweating or intense exercise
  • Saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs
  • Swimming or submerging your face in water
  • Direct water pressure on the eyes (especially in the shower)
  • Eye makeup or skincare around the treated area
  • Sun exposure and tanning beds

⏳ HEALING TIMELINE
Days 1–3: Pigment will appear darker and more intense; mild swelling may persist.

Days 4–7: Flaking and light peeling may occur. Color may temporarily appear faded—this is normal.

Weeks 2–4: Pigment resurfaces and softens. Final color settles in by week 4–6.

📆 TOUCH-UP & LONG-TERM CARE
A touch-up session is recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial treatment to perfect the shape and color.

  • Avoid long-term use of retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliants near the eyes, as these can fade pigment.
  • Always wear sunscreen and sunglasses to protect the treated area and prevent fading.

⚠️ WHEN TO CONTACT A DOCTOR
Seek medical attention if you experience:

  • Signs of infection (excessive redness, heat, yellow discharge, or swelling lasting more than 3 days)
  • Severe pain, persistent itching, or allergic reaction

Unusual vision changes — seek emergency care immediately if this occurs

 Permanent Eyeliner After Care

To ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results, please follow these steps carefully.

DAY OF PROCEDURE
Lips may feel swollen, tight, and tender — this is normal and typically subsides within 24–48 hours.

Gently blot your lips every 30–60 minutes with a clean tissue to remove lymph fluid and help prevent heavy scabbing.

Do not lick, touch, or rub your lips.

DAYS 1–7: HEALING PHASE
Cleaning
Gently cleanse lips 1–2 times daily using a damp cotton pad and fragrance-free cleanser (e.g., Cetaphil).

Pat dry with a clean tissue — do not rub.

Moisturizing
Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment (e.g., Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, or your artist’s recommendation) every few hours or as needed.

Keep lips consistently moisturized, but do not over-apply or saturate.

Avoid the Following:
🚫 Kissing or touching lips
🚫 Hot or spicy foods
🚫 Citrus, vinegar, or salty foods
🚫 Straws and smoking (can cause pigment loss)
🚫 Makeup, skincare, or exfoliants on the lips
🚫 Excessive sweating, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, or sun exposure
🚫 Picking, biting, or peeling scabs or flakes

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING
Days 1–2: Swelling and bold color — lips may appear darker than expected. This is temporary.

Days 3–5: Flaking or light scabbing may occur. Lips may look patchy, dull, or chapped. Do not peel or pick.

Weeks 2–4: Color begins to “bloom” and settle as skin regenerates.

Week 6: Final healed results are typically visible.

LONG-TERM CARE & TOUCH-UP
A touch-up session is recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial treatment to refine color and shape.

Avoid long-term use of retinoids, acids, or exfoliants directly on the lips.

Apply SPF lip balm daily to protect pigment and prevent sun-related fading.

Stay well-hydrated — healthy skin retains pigment better.

 Lip Blushing After Care

Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing and long-lasting results. Please follow these steps carefully to help your brows heal beautifully.

DAY OF PROCEDURE
Immediately after treatment, your brows may appear darker and more defined — this is normal and will soften during healing.

Blot gently with a clean tissue every 30–60 minutes for the first few hours to remove lymph fluid and prevent heavy scabbing.

Do not touch, rub, or apply any products to the area for the rest of the day.

DAYS 1–7: CLEANING & HEALING
Cleansing
Clean brows once daily using lukewarm water and a fragrance-free cleanser (e.g., Cetaphil).

Use a clean cotton pad or fingertips to gently cleanse — do not scrub.
Pat dry with a tissue or lint-free cloth.

Moisturizing
Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment (Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, or your artist’s recommendation) 1–2 times daily.

Avoid over-moisturizing — a little goes a long way.

AVOID FOR 7–10 DAYS
🚫 Sweating or intense workouts
🚫 Saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs
🚫 Swimming or submerging your face in water
🚫 Sun exposure or tanning beds
🚫 Applying makeup or skincare on/around brows
🚫 Touching, picking, or scratching the area
🚫 Facial treatments or exfoliating products

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING
Days 1–3: Brows may look darker, bolder, or more saturated — this is temporary.

Days 4–7: Light flaking or scabbing may occur. Allow it to flake naturally — do not pick.

Weeks 2–3: Color may appear faded, patchy, or soft while the skin regenerates.

Weeks 4–6: True color will resurface as the skin fully heals.

LONG-TERM CARE & TOUCH-UP
A touch-up appointment is recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial treatment to perfect the shape and color.

Avoid long-term use of exfoliants, retinol, or acids on or around the brow area to preserve pigment.

Use SPF daily to protect your brows from sun damage and premature fading.

Avoid laser treatments near the brow area, as they may affect pigment retention.
